Simulation and design of DC Motor for various load torques


In this video, we design and simulate DC Motor for various load torques. We observe how the armature current and motor speed changes for, full load, no load, half of full load and one fourth of full load.

For a d.c. motor, Torque is directly proportional to the product of Armature current and main flux.

Now is the flux produced by the field winding and is proportional to the current passing through the field winding.

Similarly the back emf produced in the armature is given by,
