A buck converter is a DC-to-DC power converter which steps down voltage (while stepping up current) from its input (supply) to its output (load).

In this post we’ll learn how to design the same in simulink. A dc voltage source, continuous block(Power-GUI block), PWM generator, mosfet, diode, inductors, capacitors, load(in watts) can be found in the library. Set switching frequency of the PWM block to 25000 and the input to 0.5(duty cycle). The capacitor and inductance values are calculated in the file below. Use scope found in the library to obtain the respective voltage values.

In case there is any issue regarding the design of buck converter, do refer the link provided.
